Drag Intel ("we", "us", or "our") is operated by DragIQ LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Drag Intel application at dragintel.com and our mobile apps. By using Drag Intel, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and password. Your password is securely hashed and never stored in plain text.
Timeslip Photos
You may upload photos of drag racing timeslips. These images are stored in a private storage bucket and are only accessible to you.
Timing and Performance Data
We store timing data extracted from your timeslips, including reaction times, elapsed times, speeds, and related performance metrics that you enter or that are extracted via OCR.
Location Data
We use track location coordinates to fetch weather data relevant to your runs. We do not track your real-time location or store location history beyond what is associated with racing tracks.
Usage Analytics
We use analytics services to collect anonymized usage data such as page views, session duration, and general interaction patterns. This helps us improve the app.
How We Use Your Data
- Performance Tracking: To store and display your drag racing performance data, vehicle information, and session history.
- AI-Powered OCR: Timeslip photos you upload are sent to a third-party AI service to extract timing data automatically. Images are processed in real time and are not retained by the AI provider beyond the processing request.
- Weather Lookups: Track coordinates are used to fetch weather conditions from public weather APIs so you can correlate performance with weather conditions.
- Transactional Emails: Your email address is used to send account-related emails such as password resets and verification.
Third-Party Services
We use third-party services to operate Drag Intel, including:
- Cloud database and authentication provider: Handles user accounts, data storage, and file storage. Your data is hosted on secure, managed infrastructure.
- AI vision service: Processes timeslip images for OCR text extraction. Images are not retained by the provider after processing.
- Analytics service: Collects anonymized usage data to help us improve the app.
- Email delivery service: Sends transactional emails from our domain.
- Weather APIs: Public weather data services used to fetch conditions based on track coordinates.
- Hosting and CDN provider: Serves the web application and delivers content securely.
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored in managed databases with row-level access controls, ensuring that users can only access their own data.
Timeslip photos are stored in a private storage bucket. Files are only accessible to the authenticated user who uploaded them.
All data is encrypted at rest and in transit. We use HTTPS for all communications between the app and our servers.
Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual timeslips, vehicles, sessions, and other data at any time from within the app.
If you wish to delete your entire account and all associated data, you can do so from your profile settings. Upon account deletion, all of your data including timeslip photos, performance records, and personal information will be permanently removed.

Cookies
Authentication Cookies: We set cookies to manage your login session. These are essential for the app to function and cannot be disabled.

Drag Intel is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete that information.
